New Booth

My talented and very cute husband!!! made me a new booth

for the show on Vancouver Island last week.

I love the clean new look!

The best part about the show was seeing friends and meeting new ones.

It was also nice to spends some time with Mark's parents and siblings.

New Beads!!

Wow where has the summer gone!! It's a Fall day here in Langley today.

I have some new beads that I have made over the past few days.

They are new on Etsy later today.

Art in the Garden 2009

Friday June 26th was the 2nd annual Art in the garden Party.

All the children that take art from me through out the year have their art displayed in the garden for family and friends to admire.

Many thanks to my family and friends for helping with framing, yard work, kitchen prep and cooking. The following photos are of some of the 130 works of art that was on display that day.

It was so nice to see everyone and their new work. 

One of my beaded necklaces and bracelets made the cover of Belle Armoire summer issue. 

This is one of my favorite art magazines.. to be included with all of those other 

talented artists is a real honor.        

NAAZ~ My super assistant!!

Well after two days of hauling soil for the garden I was glad to see the rain.

So was my tired and aching body!! Naaz~ my super organizing assistant stopped by to clean up my messy studio. (Is there any other kind LOL) I pay her in jewelry, so I made a few pieces for her today. Here is a picture of her and her organized wall. THANK YOU Naaz! and one of my other helper Mickey blues eyes.

Saturday in La Conner

On the weekend my friend Kerri and I traveled south of the border to visit Scott and Monica Bouwens and see their new studio in La Conner Washington. The studio is just beautiful, Scott has an amazing set up of video equipment to show off demos. It was great to hang out and see all Scott's  lampworking tools in action. It was also nice to meet his studio neighbor Alex, a very talented painter from Russia. I'm looking forward to another trip when the weather is a bit warmer!! BRRRR it was very cold!
